Chanel Vintage Black Lambskin Quilted Flap Bag with 31 Rue Cambon Medallion

This sophisticated vintage Chanel bag features a structured shape with a flat top handle and the signature diamond-quilted pattern across the luxurious black lambskin exterior; this combination is sometimes referred to as a "Kelly" style flap bag. This vintage bag is part of the 0 series, produced by Chanel in 1986-1988. At this time, all hardware in Chanel bags was coated with 24k gold.

The flap closes with a turn-lock featuring the iconic 24k gold-plated interlocking CC logo. A prominent feature of this bag is the accompanying detachable 24k gold-plated medallion engraved with the "CHANEL 31 RUE CAMBON" address and telephone number. The bag includes a removable chain strap interwoven with black leather, enabling shoulder or crossbody wear. This vintage bag’s interior is lined in a rich, contrasting burgundy leather, a nod to the original colors of Chanel bags.

This vintage bag is in exceptional preloved condition. It does have some scratches on leather and on gold hardware that is expected for age. This bag does come with a full set (almost unheard of for a vintage bag from the 0 series!): Chanel dust bag, authentication certificate, and authentication card and Chanel box.
