Chanel Vintage (1 series) Beige Classic Early Diana Single Flap Bag

This elegant Chanel bag is a vintage Classic, part of Chanel’s series 1 bags, produced 1989-1991. This represents one of several versions of the Diana bag produced in that series, distinguished by the unquilted border around the edges of the flap and the front and back of the bag. As with all vintage bags, all gold tone hardware is plated with 24k gold.

This beautiful bag is crafted from very supple lambskin leather in a beige or light tan hue, featuring the iconic diamond quilting. The front flap is secured with the classic 24k gold plated interlocking CC turn-lock. The bag has a timeless interwoven 24k gold plated chain and leather strap, allowing it to be worn on the shoulder or carried by hand. The interior is lined with leather and includes a zippered pocket with a 24k gold plated zipper pull. This and other versions of this bag in the series 1 collection established the unquilted edge of the flap and bag front and back as a classic design element associated with Chanel's Diana bags.

This beautiful Chanel vintage Classic early Diana handbag is in excellent preowned condition with only some creasing. It comes as a complete set (rare for series 1 bags): Chanel box, authenticity card and dust bag.
